The wood we use is pressure treated and needs to dry out for a period of time before any paint, stain, and/or water seal is applied. The amount of time it takes for the wood to be ready for your finish application varies depending on the weather and sunshine your Adirondack chair receives daily. The best method to use in order to determine when your Adirondack chair is ready for finish, is to apply water to it. Once the water starts to absorb into the chair, and not resist it and roll off, it is ready to apply your finish.
